I considered doing this once upon a time.
Getting a pop-up tent is WAY easier.

Ive considered it too. But I love my tent. And now I have a van. If your beds in the back, where will you put your stuff?

It can be done just get a foam mattress to sleep on boot box on the back, it what all the hells en deuche guys do. Make a wood boot floor so its flush then make some boxes for the rear foot wells to level it off.
