Carb Heat Insulation Block
Hi Can someone possible tell me the dimensions of the carb insulation block please. I'm having a play with a throttle body.

Re: Carb Heat Insulation Block
Thanks Edce As you mentioned differing sizes, I looked on Ecas site, and they mention 9.5mm !!! No big deal, as I'm just playing with the idea at the moment.

Re: Carb Heat Insulation Block
This Carb Heat Insulation Block, is outlawed in 2Cv racing if used in excess of height, because it increases the engines torque. (According to John Nash book)

@taskos
That's interesting .... Did he say why it increased torque?

Re: Carb Heat Insulation Block
Not really. The only prevision is said to have enough room under the bonnet.

Re: Carb Heat Insulation Block
Interesting! Could be as much about getting air out of the engine compartment as anything. A velocity stack is another thought, But I was under the impression that was more to help idle than top end torque. Another, another thought ..... Is turning the individual horizontal airflow pulses into a single vertical flow. Not something that helps the average car though
