Re: Make Your Own ....2CV.... 4x4
Unexpected problems do occur or is it bad planning:) The input shaft to the remote gearbox had some play, had a look at the seal found it was a bad condition. Chevronics do a seal (££££) for GS/GSA boxes but the LN is about 1.5mm larger! So a bit of milling it was substituted sealed bearing. We will have to see if its OK. Input Shaft. Attachment:

The list of things to do, should get shorter. However it seems that the plan to use a standard exhaust with cross-box wont fit:( Bigger calipers + the rear plate of the diff gets in the way. Attachment:

Plan to fabricate an exhaust from mandrel bends...2 into 1 very sporty? Red lines show the plan, but as we are all very aware "Red Lines" can change or even disappear!!! Attachment:

Re: Make Your Own ....2CV.... 4x4
Can't make the exhaust till the body is sitting on the chassis and can't do that until I have a transfer shaft fitted. What is required, "the middle part". But, not happy with getting it welded. Attachment:

So have to machine one!! Purchased a bit of steel.. Attachment:

Some difficult milling/turning/drilling and lot of Google. Bit of a challenge but nothing ventured.....
