Here the latest developments about 1-2-Spark (Visa)..
Because the 1-2-Spark chip is running on 5 volts the easiest thing would be to take a (Visa likish) sensor which will run on 5 volts...
At the Alibaba website I found a sensor which would run at 5 volts...
After sending an email they confirmed again that it would run on 5 volt..
Post and package was much but the sensors where cheap so I ordered about 10 sensors for about 60 euro...
Last week they arrived at my home.. Then I did the unboxing like many are video-ed at youtube..
First thing my eyes where seeing was a sticker on the sensor mentioning that it runs on 6 to 30 volt.. WTF.....
OK. keep calme they will run on 5 volt, the friendly Chinese woman emailded they would run on 5 volt so they will..
So last wednesday I made a prototype running this new sensor.....
Well as we aspected it didn't run on 5 volts.......
So at the moment I'm emailing with the friendly Chinese women called Wendy to send the sensors back...
Here some emailing...
My email:
I didn’t recieve 1 sensor??
I ordered 10 sensors, in every email I wrote I asked if they were 5 volt. In every email you sent me you confirmed they will be 5 volt..
Today I tested the sensors which I recieved from you.. First thing, on the sensor it says 6 volt minimum????
Then I tested with 5 volt and they don’t work... At higher voltages they work fine, but that is no option for me..
Now all the sensors I ordered on your recommandation are useless for me....
Wendy's email:
Dear Geo,
Could you use the sensors in other field?
As here I checked with the engineer and know that they told me it's ok for 5VDC....
Or we do the new sample to you?
Best regards,
Wendy
My email:
No sorry I have no other use for it...
As said before I’m using it as a trigger in programmable automotive ignition (1-2-Spark)
Running more then 13 herz it doesn’t work at 5 volt and even then the maximum gap between sensor and pick up may not excess 0.2mm..
For me it should be running up to 167 herz (10000rpm) and a minimum gap of 1mm (better would be 2mm)...
Wendy's email:
So should we do the new 10pcs sample sensor in5VDC for you, ok?Best regards,
Wendy

Now I didn't answer this last email yet... Why the fuck they didn't deliver right away 5 volt sensors....
No; they delivers first wrong ones to deliver the good once later????
Is this Chines logic or what....
Do you believe they can deliver the good once???? Well I'm not (anymore)
So I started to going another route.
I'm now working on a sensor with 12 volts, which goes to an optocoupler and then going th e chip giving it only 5 volts... At my testbench it looks promissing right now. So next week I will put it in my car to test it... Hopefully it works, ten we have a solution for Visa...
To be continued...
