The pic below has been annotated with a line...
That part of the chassis to be cut out and replaced with a new section about 30mm higher up, such that in the worst case drive shaft wont foul. The centre diagonal will positioned out of the way of the steering.
Also now have a better idea of where the bump stops work best.

Got out the cutting discs today.
Interesting to note that none of the sections were in tension or compression, so nothing bent or out of alignment?

With this amount of layers, tubes, crossmembers, beams aso. it would be very surprising to me if there was any deformation/tension :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Revised front end, looks neater, this time I used 20mm section, revised front diff mountings.
now onto, Bump stops! and fuel tank support legs..

Fuel Tank, now re-mounted, its been turned around and sits lower and further back.

Progress (Two forward, One back).

Have rotated the steering rack (again!) such that its unlikely to collide with the steering rods.

The result being that the cv-joint angle is on its limits.
So I have to move the steering column up some more.
The steering column will now pass through the joint of the Toe board and Bulkhead :cry: .
Some patching of the thin suff to be done...
Also another new mount/bracket for the clutch pedal.
