Can't think of many places on a 2cv to hide one effectively, though...

There must be loads of places, I'd love to try using a 2cv as a smuggling vehicle. I guess the gps just needs reception.

Hi Sam,
I got stopped twice at Dover (two years apart) in my old 2CV. The customs officers took a long time checking the area under the back seat, I heard them in discussion saying that the cavity was big enough. No explanation offered to me.

Sorry, that was wrong of me. Just because other people had said something derogatory, I shouldn't have escalated it.

'Romany' and 'Pikey' are two different things.

That's what I thought but even so, I shouldn't have told a 'pikey' joke, as it could have (and appears that it may have) caused offence. I think that 'pikey' is a derogatory term anyway, whoever it actually refers to. But I'm really quite ignorant about the subject, so it would probably best if I don't say anything, including this.
