Why would you choose to arrive at your destination deaf, covered in mud, sweating like a pig, unable to breath having probably given yourself lung cancer and lost your anal virginity whilst being sworn at by blind bus drivers and denying yourself the chance of fatherhood when you could just roll back the roof, crank the tunes and use the 2cv?

I have had motorcycles form the age of 9 years old and until I bought my first Aseries thought it was the dogs bollocks but today the bikers have to wear so many safety clothes etc that this thing of wind in the hair (if you have any) and one with the open road has lost its appeal. As you say roof off - shorts on and T shirt to stop them seeing my belly and you have more wind in the hair experience than any motorcycle these days... and the whole family can have it as well (if they are good that day and daddy doesn't leave them at home)

I don't want to make you feel old, but it's forty years this year since the last change to motorcycle protective clothing laws...

I know what the law says - but you do see guys with shorts and a helmet - but too be safe you need all the leathers, etc.... Imagine 30 deg C - full leathers, gloves, full face helmet and riding slowly - like an oven.

Bike still locked in the garage (wet, cold, never ending winter syndrom - old & sensible) moped in bits (un-heated garage syndrome - old & arthritic) AZAM hiding in car port (hole in roof - wet, cold, etc.) Ami in everyday use (wet, etc.)
Horses for courses. ;)
