Yep, Ami 6 was about 2 years ahead of the AK350.

Went to small motorcycle/ car show in Dol Bretagne and saw this lovely Ami6 (other nice cars there). Looked underneath and it was running on Van suspension - is this normal??

What makes you think "van"? Big spring cans? If anything, vans are running Ami suspension...

Bought my son & daughter a holiday car to drive for when they are home on their holidays. The guy we bought it from is deliverying it tomorrow :D but the other cars in his garage were the biggest I have ever seen Two huge Cadilacs from the mid fifties. HUUUUUGE - €160 would get you 400 km on their V8s.

But for us a nice little R4. (I know, I know, not an A series, but the prices are too much for a summer run around :o )

Got it serviced this morning and took it for a rattle down to Winchcombe in the Cotswolds. Has been/is a very decent day, though would be much, much better without this biting easterly wind.

Yes indeedy - there a lot of 4L Trophy cars around here and specially in Toulouse at the university. I think that is why my lad wanted this one. He will use this while he restores his little Austin Mini.
And my daughter will drive it just because we do not trust her driving any of our other cars

€600 for the car, €50 to MOT it and €60 insurance... not bad for cheap transport.
