 Engine trouble
I got a free dyane engine a day ago, it is seized, the spark threads are stripped and the cylinders have dirt and rust packed in them. I also have a D*lly engine, which seems to be fine (havent started it, but i probably will). I'm pretty sure they are different compression, but could I use the heads from the D*lly engine on the dyane engine? or would you just use the tinwear from the dyane engine on the D*lly engine to create a 'replica'? Cheers

 Re: Engine trouble
strip them all down and look at the mechanicals only the pistons are different oh and the tin ware you may find that nothing is useable
note if using the dyane blown engine you need a carb with the slightly larger jets.

 Re: Engine trouble
yeah, although there is 'tin' underneath the rubber exterior. The rubber was put on by citroen as a soundproofing (i think).

 Re: Engine trouble
Jack, there's no tin underneath those recycled tyres on wolly engines. They were also cheaper to make than metal cowlings... ken jack_dyane wrote: yeah, although there is 'tin' underneath the rubber exterior. The rubber was put on by citroen as a soundproofing (i think).
