Re: 1957 AZU - René II
I don't think it is the original colour as the bulkhead is the grey with the colour stamp on it. There is also a little bit of blue coming through on the back. But I will check more when I get it home.

Re: 1957 AZU - René II
We have him now at home. It was a pretty stressless transaction although the guy selling was a little sad and he did not tell his dad how much he sold it for... I think it was a little less than he was allowed. He did give us a bottle of wine so it was a happy sale Anyway, I put my new battery on and it started first time. Drove it on the trailer so well happy Obligatory trailer pics. Attachment:

Re: 1957 AZU - René II
Brake light switch arrived today ( I love NOS - it feels proper) So straight in to make the one brake light work (I might swap the orange lens to a red one to stop confusing people) Attachment:

Also swapped over my seat covers so looking a little smarter Attachment:

So all fitted and now I am off to the CT to see if it passes first time

Re: 1957 AZU - René II
Bit of a saga getting there - if any beady eye mechanics want to say what is wrong with my brake light switch install then feel free. I feel such a twat as I noticed it on the photo but didn't think anything of it before I left for the test centre. I then reached the first incline on the road and had no power at all. Thought it was the fuel I had just put in as I didn't have any "Plomb additive" so I stopped at a garage, bought some and stuck it in. Went to pull off and felt the brakes locked on. Thought the worst. Drove home along the bike path (also for tractors ) and then remembered the bloody photo - I had jammed the brakes on with the switch. Got home. quick on and off and brakes are fine, although a little warm So back to the CT centre only to find he is too busy this afternoon So back home now to wait until Monday.
