Re: Olive the Blueberries & Cream D*lly
£9.52 for a clamp, Christ does it come with a free exhaust?! Well they must really be something special, if u think they are tops i`ll get them. But what makes them so good? Patrick I do have ramps, so looking forward to an excuse to use them.

Re: Olive the Blueberries & Cream D*lly
Ben,go for the expensive ones. The problem with the ones you,and I,have on our cars,is that they are not cast,so after a few on and offs, they bend, and the clamps end up clamping on each other (if you know what I mean). The cast ones will allow you to really clamp the pipes tight without any distortion, thus having no leaks . I really have to buy four for Trevor, and this has just reminded me .

Ben don't use exhaust paste. Use copper grease.

Re: Olive the Blueberries & Cream D*lly
Tomorrow I shall venture into the garage see what state the clamps are in. There will probably look like something off the Titanic....as it is now I will take some pics while I'm there. Dave, just for clarity, just to fix the cross box, do I need 4 clamps or is it 2 James, I promise not to use exhaust paste or as its a French car, exhaust terrine

Onion rings anyone? Heat exchanger clamp left hand. Exhaust clamp. Think I will be replacing the clamps. I see I need three clamps in answer to my previous question.

Re: Olive the Blueberries & Cream D*lly
Just as well buy all 5. You need to slacken the fannymould to heat exchanger ones to wiggle & jiggle and line it all up, it's a total war else. If they're all as sausaged as the ones in your pics bite the bullet & delve deep.

Re: Olive the Blueberries & Cream D*lly
blimey i reckon you,ll need a grinder to cut thro the bolts they look like the cast iron ones so despite the rust they could still be ok on the inside-- use new bolts (tin hat on) found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CES180001-CIT ... 43b3fcd091
