Drove it to work - the first time since October(ish) last year! :D
Then had to endure 20 mins of piss taking & daft questions from the fuckwits that are my colleagues.

Wow Russ, an absolute masterpiece!

Any plans for production?

I could start a small production line, what colour do you want? The shop had silver or grey tape.

For many years there was no such quantity of snow here. Yesterday I mounted snow chains on my wife`s AMI so she can go to work today... She works as a teacher in some village 15 km away from our home... I bought a new snow chains three years ago and installed them yesterday for the first time. They were not cheap but they are very good and easy to install.

Winterised it.

Raised the suspension at the front 100mm or so in case it does snow (it won't, and if it does it'll last ten minutes and be all gone).

Fixed the headlamp, I now have TWO headlamps that both work. Fixed three of the four front indicators (one side repeater still wont work but MEH) and checked the security of my patent instant grille muff which is working perfectly and hasn't yet made a bid for freedom into the fan or over the bonnet onto the windscreen as I had pessimistically predicted.

Reminded myself what colour it used to be many years ago when I gave a fuck.

And filled the screen washer bottle up with cold weather screen wash that I found at work (heaven forbid I should spend any money on such luxuries) I also put some oil in it, as the engine James lent me doesn't seem to come with any after sales servicing assistance I had to do it myself. I also jammed the heater on, reattatched the air filter AND the crossbox and knocked the dampers down a couple of clicks to soften it up. I've also found and reinflated my studded tyres in case we actually get any decent snow, it's certainly cold enough here!

To give you an idea how cold it's been here, I also painted this lantern, about 11am today. Usually, our paint goes off in ten minutes and can be flatted back within an hour. It's been so cold today when I went home at 5pm it's still not quite hard. It's meant to have four coats of primer and four coats of gloss on it. Could be doing this a while. (it's from a pub in Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire, if anybody's interested. No? Fair enough)

Got it out of the garage as the promise was for snow from 5am tomorrow morning and it will be dry till pretty much then. It started snowing not long after I got to work and it's now sticking fast and accumulating :( Bloody forecasters!! Car's now back in the dry.
