Some interesting views/comments, me as I was taught the old way of driving as in double de clutching and riding motorcycles for over 40 years,I've always blipped the throttle to match engine/gear box speeds when changing down. Though I no longer double de clutch after my police driver training I still blip the throttle when changing down.Mind going from 2nd to 1st is another matter which I can do without the crunch but I avoid that down change anyway. Oh yeah I still push pull the steering wheel
