I think Christmas is effing great! Lie-ins, booze for breakfast, dressing up as Santa and emptying the contents of my sack down the, err, chimney, no work for a while, top nosh, going for leisurely bimbles around in my little 2CV without having to be back in a hurry etc etc. What's not to like?

BTW, I don't fret over buying loads of "over-priced tat". I print a pic of the item that I'm going to give to a family member, pop it in a card to loved-one of choice, and then take them to buy it in the sales come January. They love it and I bag a bargain. On Christmas day they know they're going to get so they're happy, AND we get a nice leisurely stroll around the shops together after all the Christmas frenzy has died down.

Cheers, everyone, and have a very Merry Christmas!

I love christmas. Apart from anything else, it's the thick end of two weeks off work. And I get to visit my family, drink too much at inappropriate times, smoke weed and eat a lot. What's not to like?

Hear hear! It's New Year that's the biggest anticlimax... apart from an excuse to have a party and earn staggering amounts of money by ripping off your parent's friends by taxiing them home!

Merry Christmas, and cheer up you old buggers! ;)

Merry Christmas one and all.

Due to working the christmas week, I have 450 miles to do this weekend, followed by another 300 Christmas/Boxing day and then a further 600 on the new year weekend.

So I've told the extended family that I shall be expecting petrol tokens in place of socks and undies.

The Acad has fresh oil, a new coil and a clean carb, the heater lever has been secured into it's HOT position (otherwise it moves itself to cold) and the toolbox has weighed down the rear end.

Wish me luck

Dave
