Not working tomorrow, then? I'll be off down to deepest, darkest, Welsh Wales and ending up in Bristol via Pont Hafren for the ARTists pub meet.

Nah, the Michelins on the back have outlasted the Toyos currently up front.

That's because it's generally an easier life on the back

Not working tomorrow (not in now till Friday) but will be off to Leicester by late afternoon... (in the Focus)

Baaaaaah! Boring!!

I'm likely to do the journey in the 2CV tomorrow (or later today, now it's Tuesday  ), if only because my parents live on the west side of Worcester, so it's quicker/easier to just continue heading west after having the tyres replaced (the tyre shop is down the road from my parents house).

Got. new Toyos on the front and I have the feeling of grip back again. You just don't realise how crap a car is handling on worn tyres till you get new ones fitted. :-) I've been out this afternoon really enjoying the way the car is holding the twisty bits.

Absolutely! My Spesh skittered about like a pebble across a skating rink before I got my Toyos! So far, mine have been great!

What did I do with my A Series today? Finally got round to cleaning the air filter (which had become pretty caked up with oil for reasons of timing, I believe... or maybe it's the breather, I dunno). So I got the filter off and gave it a good blasting with Gunk. Noticing that Mrs S was out and about I decided to give it a final clean by popping it into the dishwasher and giving it a good blast with a hot wash and a dishwasher tablet. Came out a treat - and Mrs S came home 10 mins after the cycle finished so I didn't get a kicking! Win-win, happy days etc! 8-)

Nowt. Waiting for a tool to be made up to fit the front brake adjusters on the beige Dyane, and waiting for enthusiasm to strike so I can set the timing properly on the Cote. Going to work in the Ms RT's Subaru Forester at the moment, which is fast, warm and comfortable and civilised and utterly utterly dull.

Just got back from a 25 mile round trip with the roof down - not as cold as you would think!
