Headlight advice needed! (French speaker preferred lol)
Mods: If this should be in technical, I apologise. http://www.mcda.com/catalogue/show_cat.php?rubrique=eclairage&vehicule=dy6Ok, so i need a new headlamp adjuster cable for my acad. The above website has 2, both seemingly identical and at the same price. does anyone know what the difference is between them? Don't want to order the wrong one...

guess it depends on which headlight buckets you have.

Marchal or Cibie seem to be the two options. I know very little about Dyanes, maybe helpful to post a photo of your headlamp buckets if its not obvious which is which.

Sean - that's why I sheared a bolt trying to get them off haha! I've finallyhad a good look around the shells and can't see any sort of markings, logos, numbers etc - very confusing! Russel - I would, but my van's in a lock-up ten miles away and my street is solid ice notsmartcar - I don't think so, french for left/right is gauche/droite (or something like that), plus I'm pretty sure the cables for each side are the same?

Top tip. Of all the suppliers we have over here MCDA are the worst. There service is diabolical. They will take your money even if the parts are not in stock. I am still waiting for a part ordered and paid for in June. Promises, promises.
If you can't get the parts in the UK, let me know and I'll find you them from a reliable supplier over here.

Re: Headlight advice needed! (French speaker preferred lol)
I'd guess that the cable choice depends on if the old-style metal buckets or the later plastic ones. Being an Acad, it should be plastic, unless somebody's fiddled at some stage.
As for the cables - you don't NEED to bother. It's purely for the interior height-adjustment knob to compensate for loads in the back. Just disconnect or chop 'em, and make sure they're adjusted right for the load you've usually got in the back. Few Acads are regular load-carriers these days - camping gear doesn't count... <grin>

Exactly so... None of our Dyanes has got headlight adjustment cables fitted, especially as the ones for plastic buckets were even more prone to rust and sieze up than the earlier type . ken
