Post Moving car - sliders?
Hi Folks,

Looking for some components to build a solution to my space issue...

Problem:
Garage is just wide enough for 2 cars, but in order to fit 'em both in, one car needs to slide aside. I've used wheel wollies, (machine mart), Go-jack type things and mobile axle stands and they all kinda work.
The pain is having to jack the car up in order to get in or out !

I'm looking for a drive on-drive off system.

Solution:
A couple of drive on ramp type things mounted on a rail for ease of sliding !

I want it to be super low so it does not get in the way

To make it work I need some really tough wheels/rollers and a rail for them to run in ! Any thoughts on where I can source, (cheaply), something like this....(to run on top of a angle bolted to floor)

Reckon I'll need about 20 of them and as small as possible, (1.5"?)

There are commercial systems available but too expensive for me !

Cheers
Gerry

ask on mig welding forum the lads on there know all the sources 2cv wont weigh much when you divide it by 4 so no need for super strong casters

Hi Sean,

Its on there already ;)

One suggestion was bearings in a channel.....could work and would be super low profile

Or this? Might be slightly more expensive than a set of rollers though...
