Here's a link to the KDF vw battery heater:

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=KUBELWAgen+battery+heater&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1600&bih=568&tbm=isch&tbnid=j4N4uiH6BXHSsM:&imgrefurl=http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php%3Ft%3D491397&docid=ogrnNdYmi14ZRM&imgurl=http://www.vintagevans.com.pt/kubelwagen44/extras1original.jpg&w=475&h=633&ei=6UW3ULzoHYWa1AXL7YCwCw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=62&sig=104718413406983492784&page=1&tbnh=119&tbnw=90&start=0&ndsp=30&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:87&tx=64&ty=54

No idea how to do links properly....I'll read up on it later... ;)

As for the 2cv as a greenhouse.....I reckon I'm gonna try to grow some watercress in the bonnet hinge..... ....truly an eco vehicle (meals on wheels)

Hell, maybe some of the 180 varieties of mould growing in various parts of the car are edible......

 love the fact that after all the work and time spend engineering the heater unit they just go and cut a massive hole in the offside wing......

Has anyone plugged up the outlets for the disc coolers? Must make some difference to the amount of hot air coming into the car?

Did that to the 2CV when I wen t to Finland in the winter.

Also cut 155 inner tubes to to 8 inch lengths and used them where the cardboard dump tubes are. Not only don't they rot but when it gets cold you can close them up with a cable tie so all the heat comes into the cab no matter what position the on off switch is.
