Re: how best to pre-heat a car in winter? As for the 2cv as a greenhouse.....I reckon I'm gonna try to grow some watercress in the bonnet hinge.....  ....truly an eco vehicle (meals on wheels)  Hell, maybe some of the 180 varieties of mould growing in various parts of the car are edible......

Not only don't they rot but when it gets cold you can close them up with a cable tie so all the heat comes into the cab no matter what position the on off switch is.
