Surely it was so the driver could enjoy all the fun of torsion bar suspension, an inadequately ventilated air cooling system that depends on it's belt driven for induction, overheating rear cylinders because of a massive design flaw, and the shockingly poor mpg and high road tax....what's not to love....

The easy way out i think^^^ it is mainly the 1600cc engines with the doghouse fan that overheats cylinder 3, but yes they are terrible on fuel with the stock manifold. As for handling the swing axle rear end is as the book says ( unsafe at any speed )
