Have a nice round battery led light with a magnet on the back... normally lives on the head rail resting on the mirror - only falls off when off roading. Very handy under the bonnet as well, also can be shone out the back when reversing. Don't run the car's battery down either...

Awesome torch tongue response ........I mean: nawesomg norch nongue nresponse.......I think its a dying language in these days of paying halfords to fit a wiper blade....!!!

As for the LED light, great idea too...i have used them as glove box lighting before.

I phone the RAC and let them deal with it. If its dark, cold, wet and doesn't work then bollocks to it.

Yes,I am the type of sad git who works on the engine in the dark, not lucky enough to have a proper lit garage either.....but the main reason I like the idea of a under bonnet light is that its there when you need it, if you need it......when I had it on the Volvo it proved handy.... :)
