Post under-bonnet lighting
I have just removed a very neat little under-bonnet light from my dearly departed Volvo 240....it's an awesome little curved light with a mercury switch (looks ace, like something from a bomb in a film)....i'm gonna fit it on the 2cv ....my question is has anyone else done anything like this....it just seems like a nice simple addition and I can wire it almost directly from the fuse box..... :D

It's the tesco mentality....every little helps....!

I had a Volvo 240 for a bit ... mine was a black GLT estate. Cool as fuck, and I wish I'd never got rid of it.

there was a time in 2cv land when you would rather admit to having genital herpes than owning a volvo

I remember that! I remember Dave Burdett getting a huge cheer at an AGM in the mid 1990s when he announced that he'd driven an articulated lorry into the back of a Volvo estate a few days earlier. Then I bought one and suddenly discovered what fantastic cars they actually are.

You gotta love cliques.....some people think car enthusiasts are weird, some car enthusiasts think classic car people are weird, some classic car folk think 2cv fans are weird, some 2CV guys look down their noses at D*lly owners......you can't bloody win....

Anyway, my herpes cleared up real easy, my love of volvos.....not so much.... :) :D

And to be honest I think most of my girlfriends would have preferred if I had had herpes, the volvos have not managed to score much in the clunge department.....
