I've just bought a moisture meter from Amazon to test firewood for dampness. All very well, but I notice that, once I'd finished paying for it, there was a button to click which would allow me to tell the world, via Arsebook and Twatter, that I'd bought this thing. To me, this sums up everything that's wrong with the world. Are there really people out there whose lives are so utterly devoid of any meaning that they'd actually feel the need to tell people (who they don't actually know and will probably never meet) this sort of thing? I don't like the "blog culture" anyway - isn't it enough to just do something without feeling the need to go around shouting about it and banging a big tambourine? - but telling the world you've just bought a fucking moisture meter is a new low point. Or am I overreacting?

Hang on, haven't you just used the Internet to tell people you don't know and will probably never meet what you've bought?

I noticed his FB was deactivated, wondered what was afoot, but won't speculate in public, I'd only be guessing.

I know its a bit of a cliche to moan about it, but tonight my missus wants to watch X factor, I'm a celebrity, get me out of here and some wanky shit she recorded called Don't tell the bride.

How do the rest of you handle situations like this? Should I leave her, punch her or be a good, henpecked partner and just put up with it despite her moaning like a twat when I watch Mythbusters or family guy?
