I thought about doing that, I also imagine powdercoating a chassis would be good also!

You are so right Harly, but the ignition is taken all my spare time at the moment but I will try to make a topic one of these days............. b.t.w. the chassis of the Ami is galvanised, I think I was the first doing that, (1996)
When the car was finished, I know Louis Barbour and I had a chat for hours, the benefits of galvanising chassis, but he was afraid the heat was misforming it, nowadays everybody sells a galvanised chassis.....

b.t.w. I made the chassis myself out of scratch.......... (like the ignition and so on)........

any news on this topic? did you get it? have you tried it? I'm really curious!

i dont like powder coating, over edges or around holes it is often too thin and starts to peel from sharp edges. Once the water gets under its as good as gone with big flaky bits coming off and no way to repair it. Maybe ive just had bad experiences with it but it was the soft polythene type stuff on towbars and the like (Mitsubishi Shogun)

paint can always get a second lick with a brush.

X-mas is early this year....

True if have seen this too, well we wait and see, with this set you can do 2 layers of coating on each other or 1 thick layer..

Maybee that has something to do with money... 10000 times 5 gramms less powder makes profit???



You can paint over powdercoat too, it needs some preperation but you can.....

some years ago i worked in a devilbiss spray gun factory they were experimenting with powder coating
they sprayed a car body and washing machines etc

How was the result, finish durabillity, what did they do for preparation???????

Looks good! Let us know when you tested it! I'm qurious about the result! An also how much powder you use! I tried to find it on the internet but I coulnd find it....
