Thanks J-Dub, but I'm busy on Sunday. The engine is more of a priority. I will probably MOT the 425 as its less effort in the short term, and fix this at leisure.

Just watched this little beast on the telly, 50yrs of Bond cars with Hammond!
Geez it makes Hammond look small, poor bugger could hardly see over the dash.
Car looked great Russ!

No news. It's still falling to bits and I'm still not bothering to fix or maintain it.

Thanks Simon, I bought four engines recently its just finding time to get one out and sorted to go in the car, I think the myriad of other tasks are going to take me longer to sort out!

Is there a plan for racing this year?

Ok let me know if your stuck one ready to go.

On the racing front , yep we will be racing this year, I'm back in Africa from next week for about 7 weeks then thats me finished on this film, had a quick look at the race car a couple of days ago really not much to do to be honest, check of the bearings, brakes and king pins, although the dash is out for some reason (cant remember why - only thing I can think of is I brought a new rev counter so that might be the reason).

At the end of last season Jon and I spent a day at the rolling road with 'Old Faithful' (the purple engine) playing with the webber, both of us feel it has given us a better knowledge of the webber and making it work for us, during the day the data threw up some interesting readings at the end of a 13hr day on the rollers, really can't wait to try it on the track - I am hoping that we will get one more go on the rollers with the Tete Engine (the one with the red and blue rocker covers) to see if we can get that one to work with the other webber too! - also hoping to get a test day somewhere so that I can learn to drive it again............................

Encouraging to hear, I doubt I'll be doing much 2cv stuff again this year but I certainly won't be missing the 24hr if I can help it. Last year we took the grease monkey car to llandow in Wales for testing, it's easy to get to and cheap, and its not unlike Snetterton, although much smaller. Keep me posted as I'd like to be involved.

Once I know when we have things planned I will let you know, I will start pushing ahead with the 24hr race when I get back from Africa and we have checked over the race car. Both my MSA license and BARC membership are in place just got to re-join the club, now and lets get racing
