 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
That what I thought and see - the leaner I get the car the higher number I see. I have contacted the kit maker to tell them this and await their response.

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
Wideband kit supplier admitted their data sheet was incorrect (strange nobody pointed it out to them before)

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
It seems like our sheet is reversed.
10-13 will give you RICH readings, and anywhere from about 17.5-20 will read LEAN
And yes, your drawing is correct.
Thank you

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
Great that youv'e got an answer so quick, good support then...... But I find it dramatic that this isn't written down correctly. I think it is to important (breaking down engines burning holes in pistons) to let this living it's own live...... Well maybee you where suspicius and had us to back you up with the right information, but what could have happen if you didn't..........
I've had downloaded the manual yesterday evening because I coudn't believe it but it was written there.......
Now the only thing I want to now, will they ever change the manual, will check it once in a whil from now............... just curious.........

That does seem very close to the turbo! (But I do trust lpgo's experience) This PDF talks about having it 1m from the closest exhaust port or turbo outlet! Heat soak on boost is also an issue. I put my wb in the crossbox but obviously it is a much different setup! Nice work how quickly this build has come together btw Harley

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
Harley here a pic from the original Smart cofiguration, (accualy the lambda probe fits into the turbo housing!!) The turbo diffuses the exaust fumes from both cilinders so this is the perfect place in a turbo engine using 1 lambda probe. Attachment:

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
One day - I spoke to an old mate where I used to work and he said that he could modify an existing intercooler for me. So far no show but will chase him up after SPA.

 Re: 1976 Dyane 6.52
Returned from SPA and holiday in Germany. Car ran perfectly even in minus 10 deg C in Alps. Could not believe however I drove it the average km/l was around 11.5km for the whole trip. Every tank worked out almost the same. Total distance was 3209kms. Last day in France poor weather so drove from Troyes to home leaving hotel at 3 am and drove all the way on the motorway @ 5500rpm 110kph with oil 95 deg C from turbo/ air fuel ratio 12/12.5 and still returned 10.8km/l. Will have to look at rigging up some kind of heater as 2 coats and gloves is not a good way to drive.. Some pictures form trip
