   |   1966 Ami 6 BreakIt has the standard M4 engine for now, its been sitting around since 2003, when it was driven up from Avignon to Perassay (36) after we had to change the inlet manifold as it had holed, runs well but the old M4 is a bit smoky now. Still 6volt and still has no back seat, but it does have some NOS rear bumper halves and headlamp surrounds. Plans for it will be, well.... oh, and it still hasnt been cleaned, been re-registered in the Departement or had it Controle Technique either, how lazy? oh and it shares the driveway with this, a 1969 H truck, one previous owner from new, still has the original 84 painted numberplate on, it had never been re-registered in any other departement until we bought it from Salon, near Avignon. The old guy who owned it only ever used it on his place to transport the fruit to market, so the rear bed is is near perfect, the tailgates had never been used ever, and still have the all the unscratched paint and numberplate painted on. it could be for sale if anyone is interested? my old car, as someone on Retro Rides was carping on about minimal or poverty spec cars, i posted this up, LOL! no fuel guage no electric wipers no locks no seat belts no radio no passenger sun visor no front or rear indicators (and in the pic above, no suspension too) BUT it did have: pull starter aircon a peppy little twin cylinder that you thrash all day and still get 50+ mpg so I guess I should have counted myself lucky at least some of this would come back in fashion, as in my current car. And yes, i ran it that low most of the time too! It was in the book "2CV Family Album" when it wore the previous UK numberplate of PSU 876_________________

   |   Re: 1966 Ami 6 Breakah, there it is - just read your seat question and then looked for thsi thread mine's a 1967 model - so black knobs / dash inside, and a different grille, but almost exactly the same....i drive through Hampshire quite often, will keep my eyes peeled the UK national is handy for you too, eh? p.s. - slightly shabby Amis look far nicer than mint ones in my opinion (and i'm not just saying that because mine is the latter )_________________
