My general rule when driving a 2cv saloon is that the muff goes on about the time of year when you need to close the roof.........

You know Terry for a mere £12 you can buy an actual large chevron muff? Also there isn't a muff on/off time just put it on when it's cold....

 ;) I fit the muff on cold winter days ...... But,if I consider that its a "warm[ish]" winter day, then I remove it [which is why I dont just wrap a bit of tinfoil around my "large chevron" grill].

I've gotta admit though  .....that I oughta buy a "large chevron muff" :|
But the last thing on my mind is "2CV winter muffs" when I'm strolling around "registers day/international" trade stands in July/August .....winter always seems so far away then ....... :D

best regards
T. ;)

Very nice

Today I fitted a un-cracked dash panel. A nice new heater tube so now even warmer on the drive home :)
And changed the front bumper for another which has the bottom and top plates still :)

I decided to build a new engine for mine.

And a man asked if he could take a photo of it when I stopped at the petrol station. Second time in a week that's happened. The last guy apparently used to do 2cv cross when it was in the UK, and promised to send me some photos. That hasn't happened but it was nice talking to him anyway.

Wired in the 1-2 spark from Geo and took for drive. Now can rev all the way to 6500 rpm (when rev limiter cuts in) and pulls well now with full boost.

45mile round trip to get fish and chips then off to the pub for a couple of pints - no issues oh 1! the earth on the NS headlight needs a slap.

Low down between 2 and 3000 rpm bit less than normal 2cv - 3000 to 4000 rpm like good tuned 2cv - above 4200 rpm -WOW like no 2cv I have driven - pulls and pulls.
