Finally made permanent fix of fuel line on Ami and changed the gear oil.

I'd like to say that refilling the gearbox was a piece of p**** but I would be lying. Its a lot easier in a 2CV.

Got to the end of the street and the 2CV spluttered to a halt.

Quick inspection and no fuel getting to carb.

Luckily the postman was passing so he towed me back home!

maybye the pump, or crap in the filter on the carb
pull the fuel pipe off of the carb and crank the engine a bit
if fuel squirts out the pump ok
dont smoke whilst doing that and disconnect the ht coil, or it could result in self/2cv immolation

Fitted the muff [which is a trickier job than usual on my 2CV  ......'cos I use a "big chevron" grille in the summer and the standard grill in winter ......and thus have to change the whole grill]
It passed half an hour anyway :| .....have you fitted your muffs yet :?:

Tried all that at the scene to no avail. No fuel getting to carb.

My general rule when driving a 2cv saloon is that the muff goes on about the time of year when you need to close the roof. This is usually about the time that the public transport system grinds to a halt and they start closing schools too ;)

You know Terry for a mere £12 you can buy an actual large chevron muff? Also there isn't a muff on/off time just put it on when it's cold. If you have t use de-icer on your windscreen use a muff.

Pump mounting loose. Hole in pump diaphragm. Tank hose connection letting in air.
