Post Help with finding hubs ....
Hi I've change my front swing arms on my 2cv for ami 6 ones which have the batters on them but i do not have any hubs that fit as 2cv ones are smaller so if any has any ami 6 8 or acadyane wheel hubs or know of any out there for sale I would be very happy to by them as at the moment the car is on stands with no front wheels and its going no where

Thanks josh draper

Which'd then lose the batteurs, since they bolt to the swivel...

My 2cv has batteurs...

Ami arms have the knife edge mount in a different place which affects the effective spring rate.

Dident notice the different placement of the knife edges but as my cars been lowered it shoul inprove it and I wanted the batters and also I've just spent £60 on new wheel bearings so it would be a wast to put differ t ends on all thou it would solve the problem

well its all a bit "guessy" at the moment if its not a batteur equipped car (Dreg red spesh won't be) to start with its going to need the gubbins inside the ends of the front axle tube for the frotteurs if its going to be shock and batteur ( whats the point?)then it may need work on the arm to get the plate mounts up to strength....etc etc

simply sticking on the wrong arms isnt the easiest way to sort whatever was wrong with the 2cv ones

Just for the record, you can have batteur's without the Friction dampers. In fact Citroen themselves fitted batteurs and hydraulic shocks to my car. It has a lovely ride as the batteurs stop the pattering of the wheel over uneven surfaces.

That's the set up I've got no modifications on the arms just put them on and bolted on the normal shocks just wanted the batters as well as they look interesting

I know :geek:

Josh - just wondered if you were doing away with the front dampers as they become the lowest part of a seriously low car and take all the hits ...and its an expensive do replacing the front shocks that have been planed down till the oil comes out, or clouted to the point the chassis pin gets bent.
