Lna is the best for visa, you can do 110km/h in 3rd!
Although 1st gear is a bit long... :(

116 in 4th

Don't tempt me to go out there and take a pic at 130km/h! I haven't got the cash to afford it atm.

Ln with visa/lna bellhousing is even better!

OK, but if I do so, I won't get a longer 4th gear, right?
So it is better to keep the 2cv6 gearbox (8/33) which is working well, I guess...

Put some bigger tyres on it 145/15 or 155/16 for instant lower reving (don't trust the speedo then) take gps..........

100 or 106 kmph is the same to me.
don't use lna gearbox, they are to high geared for 2cv wheels,, it will burn your clutch.

Well, 2cv6 gearbox, at 100km/h 5200rpm, same box with 8/31, at 100km/h 4900rpm, and with GS1220 (longest ratio) box, at 100km/h 4100rpm...

Very nice for ears, and goes quite well with AM2A (Acadiane) engine. Haven't drive yet over 135km/h, but it was still going strong at that speed...

My engine is not tuned, "only" fuel injected...

And it doesn't burn clutch, only slight slipping when shidt 3rd to 4th at WOT.

BUT, I don't recommend this with carb engine, then clutch will burn!

I don't mean burning clutch at high speed, but at starting to move especialy at a hill, first gear is too high geared for a normal 2cv/ami engine with an lna gearbox.... even for a 652 with 125/15 tyres.. driving away from a stop must be done on the clutch (reving the engine) sounds no good to me....... so I don't like it...

but again this is my opinion!!

Yes, and no.

With normal engine with carb, I wouldn't even think to put GS gearbox, as I said.

But, with 602 IE, there isn't any problem. There is lot more torque at lov rpm, so there isn't any need to rev engine, not even at hill!

I had same gearbox with Visa engine (over 15 years ago), where was rised compression, and with that engine there was enough power to handle long ratio box...

Guys, after reading all these opinions I guess I'm going to try to find another 2cv6 gearbox and mix it with the one I bought before. It won't be easy to find a mechanic who assures me that the diferential 8/31 will fit perfectly in the 2cv6 box. :?
Meanwhile, I won't touch the one that is currently working on my 2cv. In case things go wrong I will always have this one... ;)

8/31 as in Ami/Dyane ?
It fits fine put the 2cv one in the Am/Dy box and you have a high ratio and a low ratio box
