Not sure what the problem is. I'll have a gander at the weekend, with my circuit tester thingy. Mind you, I've not needed to use it in the 3 years since I've had it back on the road, so I'm not that bothered. If I find it's a circuit issue, I don't think I'll bother to find the source of the problem. There's other things to sort out first.

I think it's earthed via one of the two rivets that rivet it on
Maybe as simple as re riveting it may do it..?

Could also be the connector under the bonnet wants cleaning.

True, but in my case if you wiggle it it works intermittently

Found an old 'Sound Racer' in a box, so plugged it into my ciggy socket, tuned the radio into the frequency, turned the bass up, and drove around to the sound of a lovely burbly big block V8

Fitted new alternator as old one when lights and wipers on gauge read zero. Do not want that with winter coming. Took car to guy in next village who loves Alfas (he has 2). He took pictures of engine for Alfa forum as could not believe his eyes...

Tried putting it in the garage. Due to the front being fair low, it couldn't get up the steepish curb that's infront of the garage door. Made it high again and then went for a final mega hoon before putting it away. After Accrington tap water I think I'll miss my car more than anything else. Fuck trains. Once I've figured out parking, Cnutface will be taking up residence in Paris sometime next year.

Just about to get it out of the garage and use it to get to work.

Through my contact with Steve Walford (2CV racer #55), I organised a small weekend camp for Leics-Car-Go! at Melton Autograss
After being allowed on the start-line after racing had finished on the Saturday, the club chairman, Marc Grasby, gave us track-time and an escort on the Sunday morning, prior to the second half of the weekend's events:





By coincidence, the Class 8 special of our escort, Ben Harper, had a smart set of Citroën wheels under it (albeit a Saxo)
We donned our helmets and did five laps at 'walking pace' - around 20mph when the Safety Officer wasn't looking! along with some commentary for the somewhat bemused crowd. We'd had some interest in our little camp already; one chap racing an AX had had a lifetime of Citroëns and still runs a DS Another fellow racing a special had a father-in-law who dealt in 2CVs (but I didn't catch who he was)

They were certainly a friendly bunch and we had a great weekend
