Apparently, the French used them as tanks in the war  Well, at least we now understand why the Nazis were able to overrun France so easily

in 1940 there were no 2cv's; otherwise France was never overrun!!!!!

Well all of that's very well but I bet none of you knew you could drive your car across a field with a hat on and a basket of eggs in your pants

That one annoyed me the most out of all of the suggestions I get. As If I hadn't realised it was a air cooled engine. And that it's front wheel drive

And that the seats fall/come out

Anyway today I uses 2cv to go to work, and see friend at paint shop who will touch up a few 'niggly' irritating things for me

Then got home, realised I'd run out of tax, and not put the new disc in, oh well I'll save the tax disc adventure for another day

Thus concludes a series use for today
Now waiting for my old man who is cookig my tea!!

Part of the fun [for me] about such shows is standing near my car,and listening to some of the b*ll*x some of the punters talk about my car.

T. ;)

what were they then?

i was once told with authority that mine had a BMW bike engine from WW11in it as well as its a 2 stroke diesel etc etc

Some of last Sundays gems?
Its a two stroke engine.
2CV stands for "2 Cylinder Vehicle".
It was one of those Citroen D*lly's ....[despite the fact that it says "Special" on the bootlid].
One bloke asked me "Does the roof roll back on all of them"?

In the past I've also had ...
Citroen were forced to cease production because they were both unsafe and could'nt meet emmission standards.
Its one of those Citreon CV2's.
The tyres are from a motorbike!
Is the engine in the back or front?
How does that gearstick work? .....is it an automatic?
It changes gear with that bit of bent wire sticking outa the dashboard.
It should have seats like deckchairs [although admitably,my car has got BX seats in it].

As the nice days of summer are bound to end with a downpour shortly, I rolled the roof off the BB today and went to a customer in Widnes - had a couple in a Subaru laughing at the way it went round corners and roundabouts....

Had a run out to Winchcombe via Inkberrow, Bidford-on-Avon and Broadway, keeping to back roads as much as possible and keeping the hood fully open for the whole trip. 8-)

It looks ever more like I'll be down to only A series cars soon, so I might think about giving mine a service in preparation for the winter ahead. In other news, I cable tied my bonnet shut last week, this has proved to be a mistake.
