Cool, but you have to ask why? With all the extra weight of the frame, and the extra person, the poor little engine must be knackered

Post Re: Solexes
Dave, the Solex with the chain guard is an Otto built under licence in Holland by Stovkis and motors were built by Van Deem. Nearly all Dutch built Solexes had chainguards, skirt guards and a yellow front nose guard and came with top hat rims. I have one and it is particually nice bike to ride.
The Tandem were not original but were an aftermarket mod. There was also a factory three wheeler with a rear tray called a Triportuer.

While I was out pedalling the other day,I noticed a knocking coming from the bottom bracket.Stopped and checked it,and there is alot on movement in the axle, and when you turn it by hand,in feels and sounds terrible.Bearing is obviously knackered.
New bracket and shaft ordered from Van de Ven Solex from Toms Country.
Will post some pics of the repair when it arrives, which should be this week.

I think there are quite a few ways, but I use photobucket.I upload the picture from my phone/computer,then I click on it,and on the img number, that then allows me to copy it,then I just paste it onto here.Sounds simple, took me ages to do  .I think as long as you can get the img code and copy it,you should be ok.

I do mine from Flickr but you have to ot the shot on that site and keep it there, then it's just a cse of click on the share option when you've opened the picture and click on BB code, the details that appear in the box and then cut/copied and pasted into this site.
