I have temp sensor in oil return and will see what it says. Been running turbo without being connected to carb (need car daily) and max return oil is 75 deg C. I know with boost it should climb..

Fuel pressure regulator arrived yesterday so did work altering the pipe work under the bonnet, also removed petrol tank and modified float level to now have 12mm pipe instead of normal 6mm. Will place high pressure fuel pump in the U in the chassis infront of petrol tank. Started to make braket but will have to wait for pump to arrive to finish. Fuel lines now are - main feed to pressure regulator, return from regulator to near fuel filler cap, feed to carb and boost pressure feed from plenum ontop of carb to pressure regulator. More boost more fuel pressure. Also programmable ignition may arrive late this week or early next week...... Then time for fun (I HOPE)

Fuel pump finally arrived and mounted it by the tank - adjusted fuel pressure to 3psi to carb (no boost) and gave it a run. It runs fine on first choke but lack of fuel on second choke (new jets required) Nice noise when waste gate opens at 0.5bar and gear change.

Latest on long running story - Now have HIF 38 SU carb sealed for turbo use on blow though system - Boost comes on from around 2500rpm but really comes on strong from 4000 rpm. Do not know what kind of figures it is dong but torque is improved. This week spark 1-2 should arrive so can fine tune ignition at above 5000 rpm. Slow but surely getting there....... After finished will write down everything so people will not make same mistakes I made.....

I'm guessing you've seen the Burton set up as you mentioned it earlier, but I took some pics of their car at the ICCCR if it's of any help. Though I haven't uploaded them any where yet.

Hi Joolz - contacted Burton about there setup but no answer. Please find picture of mine. Went for nice drive today - good to have some more pull up the hills.

To explain picture - IHI 31 turbo, HIF 38 carb (sealed). Pressure regulator down by the plenum chamber. Pitot tube in bend of pipe from turbo to plenum - this goes to the vent on the carb to pressurize the petrol - more boost - more pressure so no lean out at top end. Exhaust goes from turbo to original cross box (1 port only, other blocked off) and then to pipe out of side of car. Not noisy but nice burble on over run. Tried with no exhaust and same power so no restricition on setup.I have standard MINI 1000 needle and the plugs are nice colour - will invest in Lambda sensor when I have some more money.

Awesome stuff indeed.
Took me quite a while to trace all the plumbing, mind you...
A few bits seem to be lost in translation as well, but I guess pilot = pitot & lambar = lambda ;)
