Post Re: What did you do with your A Series today?
Took the 425 to the petrol station. Filled it up. When did filling up a car like that cost £30? Anyway, £30 down, I walked back to the car and noticed that the tax has run out. Since when did I start driving untaxed cars like a gyppo? So, I drove it home and got the 602. That had no petrol in it either, so I drove that to the petrol station and put another £30+ in that too. So, while I'm waiting for my new tax disc to arrive I have to leave my 'nice' car outside. And while I was bollock naked having just got out of the bath tonight a gang of 15 or so local scrotums came and started kicking a football at my car and the mitsubishi pick up and the £60k range rover it was parked next to. Now, what I did next I'm not proud of. I phone the local police and they sent a car round about two minutes later and the scrotums dispersed. What I should have done, however, was to march outside with my wedding tackle flapping around brandishing a fucking great kitchen knife, burst their ball and pissed on the jumpers they were using as goalposts. I feel ashamed now that I did what I did, but next time, I promise I'll do the right thing.

Picked up the pieces, rolled it back onto its wheels and let the insurers take it away...

After driving 250 miles from the ICCCR, the front N/S wheel blew about 10 miles from home. The car skidded off to the left, unfortunately there was quite a large ditch there. Amazingly we're all fine, just minor cuts and bruises - we missed a rather solid beech tree by the skin on our teeth.

All a bit shaken... I'm sure I'll be 2CV driving again before long somehow or another though.

Even made the news, although it's not very accurate. We managed to free ourselves from the car perfectly well without help, and two people were not taken to hospital by ambulance. One trip to A&E, the other two went straight home...

Ever so grateful to all the police / paramedic / ambulance / fire people who turned up though, they were brilliant.
