Being A-series-less ... One year on
Well, it has been a year since I lost my 2cv and I've spent that whole year looking longingly at them on eBay and various other websites, following other people's adventures on the forums and looking lovingly at the pics on my phone of the cars I used to own. I'm still not really in a position to be an owner again simply because nothing has come up in a year that has made me want to part with the hard earned (bar one but missed it), and to be fair, I don't really use a car that much now I work from home. And the events surrounding the last car really left a bitter taste. In fact when it resurfaced, a hatred of 2cv's manifested again and I went quietly back go my corner and sulked after a good old rant! But it's like smoking, 2cving is something that never really leaves a person. I did notice somewhere was hiring them out - now that might be of use to me. A couple of days driving one and no hassle, just give back when done. Sounds great to me! Might look into that further ...

Re: Being A-series-less ... One year on
Hi, my name is Warren (fidgets nervously). The bigger boys made me do it at first, and I thought "OK, I'll give it a try, what harm can it do?" I thought I could handle it, quit whenever I wanted to, no big deal. After all, I'd done the hard stuff, taken some real exotica. But no, I'd find myself gazing out of the window at it, it was calling me from the driveway, and I'd have to have a little run. Just a small one at first, but then I'd find myself going out for longer and longer hits. And then it has you, there's no resisting, any excuse to go out and get a fix. Hanging out at campsites with other 'users' and I'd find myself talking to the dealers and spares sellers, the 'pushers' offering you more and more gear. It makes your fingernails black, and there's the tell tale wiff of Pastis and Gitanes. Then you find yourself drawn to trying some 'H'. Social services are no help, they don't want to know.

Deano, you seen that Dyane in the eBay thread that Hollis is selling?

It gets worse. I just bought a CD boxed set, 'The Best of Edith Piaf'.
