Gave the Beige Beast yet another thrash this weekend - I've done about 500 miles this week in it - up M6 to Runcorn at a steady 70 and then back home via Chester - great weather yesterday, shite today - Typical British summer!

With the roof rolled right back, I took a trip to my 'nearest' Lidl (20 miles each way) along fast empty N routes, sorry, A roads. Overtook one Range Rover doing a pathetic 40mph and towing a humungous caravan on the way there and another, not towing anything, but still doing 40, on the way back. What's the point in buying a vehicle like that for £48,000 plus only to fart about at 40mph? And then have the indignity to be overtaken by a 25 year old anacronism!
