I want some artwork done on a bootlid, in this sort of style:



Anybody out there who likes drawing pictures for liquid reward? I'd like to have a stab at it myself, but I'm more autistic than artistic, so I'm probably better off employing somebody. Anybody fancy it?

Had my first proper ride in a 2CV today - even more fun than I was expecting, definitely made my week, never mind day.

I am man, I am. Just need to get looking at something in slightly better condition than the last one.

I...er...um...think it's...er...ok.

I mean, the price is crazy. And I don't really know what it's meant to 'be'. And I'm not saying that I would choose it over a standard 2CV - no way. But there's something about it that's, I dunno - acceptable. If I saw one parked up, I'd walk over to it and smile. And wouldn't necessarily think the owner a twit. It's not as tho' it has deep spoilers or flared arches or anything that's waaaay inappropriate and completely out of the 2CV psyche. I somehow find it in 'keeping' with the original intention. It's a bit utilitarian. Almost like a modern take on the car - perhaps a bit like what I'd imagine Citroen themselves would do if they were to re-launch the car. I like the blockiness of the front with all the joins - although the rest of the car needs more of that too.

Oh yeah - the headlamp covers ruin it...

i sort of agree - there is a little something about it, but then i think this could look so much neater and so much better and still keeping the original lines, whether it be a modernised ripple or a modernised 60's> bonnet, i like the idea of it, just not the way it looks!
