on the hand brake handle, the white button that u press to release the h/brake can be revolved by pulling it out towards u a bit then turning it a quater this locks it --it cant be pressed in in this position so the h/brake stays on
every little helps ;)

Trouble is, if you've got a disc brake car you can get quite some distance with the handbrake on!

i dunno russel, mine has discs and ive adjusted the pads , the handbrake is really good!

As I mentioned before,I have fitted a remote control battery switch to the D*lly,just press the button on the fob and the battery is off.Easy peasy :lol: .
Mind you,dont know why someone would WANT to nick a D*lly :lol: ,a yellow and black Charlie yes,a D*lly in any colour,no :lol:

That's great - but do I just connect everything on the battery to the terminal on the isolator instead of the battery. It's ok to have the main loom feed and input from the alternator on the same terminal yeah?

Yes. Anything that currently goes to the +ve of the battery can (should) go on the isolator.

About the only thing to bear in mind is if you have a radio with memory pre-sets (or something similar) that requires a permanent +ve supply to keep the clock, pre-sets, etc, running - they will need a (in-line fused) connection direct to the battery.

These isolators are often used just to disconnect the battery so's as to prevent it draining when not in use, or to reduce the risk of electrical fires when in longer-term storage. As an anti-theft device, they are only as good as the thief who'll locate it and by-pass it...

Cheers DA, just deciding wether to get a keyed type or just a switch. The plastic keys aren't all that elegant.

Hi Sam. If you do decide on the plastic key type, I've got them on my website for £6.25, which I'm pretty sure is cheaper than all(?) the ones on ebay. (You could get one on Friday when you collect the AK350 carbs etc, if you've decided by then).

u may need to crimp a couple of lugs onto the thick cables, that go onto the kill switch terminals
