Be very careful James.

My dads business partner let a crew member take the wheel on his 36ft westerly during a competent crew course. The crew member lost concentration and took the keel off on hampstead ledge off the Isle of Whight. After the boat had been refloated the hull was fully repaired at £30,000. Before they could restore the interior they needed to dry her out so left a dehumidifier in her. Which caught fire and did another £30,000 worth of damage. At which point the insurers washed their hands :(

I read this:

But my attention was drawn to the ironic use of this:

Competent? £60k of damage? What can an incompetent crew manage?

Back in February, I took the 20mpg petrol engine out of my Land Rover and bought a diesel to install instead. I've just had it running for the first time since then. 8-)
