 Re: Freja
Great news! After all I've read about the ct I'm surprised to see how much checking was involved....

 Re: Freja
However, given the state of some cars which come in from France with a current CT, you've got to wonder if there's a rule specifying the minimum number of 'rivets pop' per metre run of the bit which has been patched. ken meshking wrote: Great news! Re: Freja
Seriously the issue of rivots is only an issue for people outside France. Don't believe that more people in France are hurt or killed due to rivots being used. If the rivots are that bad maybe think before taking a seat in any air craft flying around the every day. m

 Re: Freja
Aircraft are usually designed and built by more experienced and professional people than the ones who slap shoddy plates all over old cars. Besides, in this day and age with the prices 2cvs go for I'd want whatever I bought to be as close to how citroen intended it in regards to any repair work that'd been carried out. The worst cars to repair are those that've been previously mucked about with in less than desirable ways, in my opinion. But that aside, great news with the van, it looks like Harley has nicked your old one, so I guess it will replace that.

 Re: Freja
Plus any structural blind rivets used in aeronautical engineering are a very different animal from the Mickey Mouse variety used for tacking bits of old fridge into a 2CV... http://www.cherryaerospace.com/product/blindrivets.html& http://www.cherryaerospace.com/product/ ... anims.htmlken Russell wrote:  Aircraft are usually designed and built by more experienced and professional people than the ones who slap shoddy plates all over old cars.
