 Re: Odin
Viking, any tips on fitting van flap catches? It's on my Easter to do list. How do I get the mechanism of an old flap and onto a new one?

Before removing the catches, check the position of the square holes where they are located against the body side. Most likely not in line if your flap is the reproduction one. The top hinge is the problem causing the flap to hang lower than the original. If that is the case, you can move over the hinge. Bit of welding involved. The original catches are easily removed with a spot welding drill bit, cleaned and welded again. Good luck.

 Re: Odin
Well sadly I had to be realistic and hand over Odin. Didn't have the time to complete Odin but luckily Ken a passionate 2CV lover offered to take Odin home to finish him. Odin is now safe in his new home. Looking forward to see the result. Happy working and thanks for taking Odin away from his dark sad corner in my garage. Attachment:

Ken restored this little gem. We swapped vans and Ken's restored AK 350 will leave tomorrow to raid Australia in 2 months. Attachment:
