pulling to one side isnt usually tracking

as the steering is self centring then they align themselves make sure that the rack is centred before you embark on any adjustments irrespective of steering wheel position

the one side thing will be kingpin wheelbearing or bent arm

Thanks for replies,i think i made this sound worse than what it is,the steering wheel is only slightly out,but enough to notice,it doesnt pull vigerously to one side but if you take your hands off the wheel it will go to the left after a while, dont think its far out :)

My steering wheel is just off centre I moved the shaft round one spline and it was out the opposite way,so I just don't ignore it.If I take my hands off she runs dead straight with no shimmy on a flat road, but will run down the camber after a while, which is to be expected. :|

probably just falling off the camber adopt the "elbow out the window one handed steer" position

James,
try driving it _ before_ fitting the clamp, makes it easy to find the position where the wheel is closest to central.
Only on private land, of course... ;)
