Rusty wrote: HI LPGO, I'm still very intersted, didn't do much with 2cv's lately (sold my 2cv6 and ACAdiane is out of business for a bit) but now the sun starts to shine more and more, i want to drive my ACA again!
My ACA is running with a visa engine, and I doubt if the ignition timing is right (original visa stuff) when it has to work hard and the engine is warm I get a nasty sound from the engine (knocking?) I already took the engine apart but that didn't help... also made my own sensorbracket, but no improvement!
I would be keen to try and test your ignitionsystem, and help to improve it for a visaengine! If it turns out my visaengine is crappy after all, I have a spare ready to be put in!
Let me know if you need help or a testdriver!

Rusty Great It will be a great help if you want to be a testdriver, but you heave to be patient (I think within 2 monts), at the moment I'm ordering a new PCB (printplaat) design and I need to order all the electronic bits, I'm planning to make 8 sets, 3 are for myself (2cv, visa, Motoguzzi 650 motorcicle); The others are for testdrivers, I'm still in dobt about the price I want to make (a little) money with it... Spent about 1000 hours sofar developing it. The testdriver sets will go under costprice I think between 50 and 75 Euro's I hope you will understand.... 1 set is going to Mark 4x4 Lewis for free he still has some credit from me!! (Wiskey and Calenders, T-shirts) if he is interested.......... @Rusty and yes your engine is a very good project. My 2cv6 engine knocked also but with my own ignition it is gone now........

Count me in, with a bit of luck mine should be on the road by then. Firstly with the EFI 602 then the tuned Visa then the supercharger Harley

Yeah I'll test it. If you require another test bed.

 Re: 1-2-spark
Ipgo - Congratulations - I would love to have one fitted to my 2cv BUT I don't do the mileage to warrant giving this unit a proper test It really wants fitting to every day runners in all climates. I'll be watching the forum for updates. Will this unit work in conjunction with the megasquirt fuel injection controller? - It would be quite a good project getting the 2cv engine to run with fuel injection and electronic ignition - possibly even fit a C2 badge on the back of it

@ pete; Great... it will by the perfect ignition for your monster...... Little Louis wrote: If you promise it won't let me down in front of boy racers..
Yeah I'll test it. If you require another test bed. Isn't just a 2cv not enough to let you down????? well I keep you in mind, and yes I promise. Since it is drivable it didn't let me down (more then 2 month now), the VR sensor was first fitted in my turbo 2cv, so it is running for over 3.5 years now!!!!
