 Re: 1989 Blue Celeste "Daisy"
I've been fannying around somewhat this last week with birthdays and drinking and sha.... You don't need to know. Anyway, Taffy and Tev came over last Tuesday and we lifted the shell off to do the few remedial repairs that were needed. With that done and the tank, fuel pie, tank saddle and brake pipe all fitted, we lobbed the shell back on. Then, I did bugger all until Saturday! The Saturday saw me and Lou sorting out the running gear and bleeding brakes etc and, I "drove" it for the first time since May 1998! It felt good even though it was only 12 inches forwards and 12 inches back again. Urm, I spent a good few hours in the garage then on Sunday sorting out the ridiculous ride height and fitting the shocks and an exhaust and a few other bits and bobs. Then, did sod all again until today. It's got electrical gremlins thanks to having been stood for soooooo long. I've pretty much had to disconnect every single connection on the car and clean the terminals-booooring! But, I now have a full compliment of working rear lights and wiper motor etc. So, I'm getting there. Maybe I'll do some more tomorrow.........

Spanners Little tip i taught myself
If you own a dremel, put the small wire brush attachment in and on its slowest setting and gently grind the shit of the connections. Did that with a few of mine, worked a treat

I did indeed do some more work on this today-I certainly can't use "having no time" as an excuse not to get on with it! Today was a good example of hoarding skills. And, starting to look a bit more like a car now! Maybe I'll do some more tomorrow. Or, perhaps I'll just go looking for a job

 Re: 1989 Blue Celeste "Daisy"
I'm still job hunting. I'm also fitting Lou's kitchen. So, this has kinda been ignored largely in my own, inimitable style. Anyway, lack of funds has forced me to spend lots of time doing silly, time consuming things like "reconditioning" side repeaters. I've also had the lovely job of refitting door rubbers-I can honestly now see why people just mask the damn things up! But, it's allowed me to fit a couple of doors which, has to be a good thing....... And, the windscreen. So, all told, it's starting t look like a car now! Oh, I chucked an interior light in it too. And, photo genius, catching the indicator when it was actually flashing!

This is for sale.
It's not "finished" (I've done nothing to it since my last post) but, could be.
I'm actually considering sorting it and chancing my luck on eBay.........
Thoughts anybody?
