I'm currently trying this 6€ check valve for water applications.
It gives more than 100mm wc.

I suspect that it's connected between the air cleaner and the tube that would force air onto the disc brakes. I put a similar tube but it draws air from behind the coil in an effort to aid cooling of that, possibly makes no difference but anything is worth a try

Banjo, you're right.
Actually it has a seperate from the disks ventilation outlet
and it was an original Citroen fittment for Dyane engine. (I think so).

I believe it delivers cold overpressured air to filter so it should be an improvement.(?).

Taskos, where did you get that valve, and how long have you had it fitted? Still giving that amount of vacuum?

Thanks.

accurate description.
The 2cv inhales 301cc of air per rotation, so at 3000rpm thats 903,000cc per minute, or 9,030 litres per minute. There is no way the fan or speed the 2cv can produce would be able to make any noticeable difference in performance.
The increase comes from cold outside air entering the induction charge rather than hot under bonnet air, ie, cold air induction.
One could even hold a garden hose at full tit into the carby at those speeds with little effect...

One of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IN-LINE-SHOWE ... 2c60beb8db fitted into the pipe between the reniflard and the air cleaner might do the trick. They have them at Screwfix for a couple of quid - could be worth a try. You'd need to do before and after checks with a manometer to see if it works.
