 Dyane / Ami Dashboard Air vent repair kit Hi All I've just finished sucessful testing of a repair kit I'm making for Dyane / Ami 8 / Acadiane Dashboard Air vent boxes. This kit will contain new precut felt/foam gaskets and instructions on how to replace them and will be on available for £10 not including postage. If anyone is interested please let me know at matt_the_baron@yahoo.co.uk. I will be bringing a sample along to the 2CVGB committee meeting tomorrow 11th March but I can send photos of the kit and hope to have some kits ready for sale this spring. Just to give people a heads up on how this is progressing. I am now hand cutting sets and these will be available in 2 types:
Dyane/ Acadiane
Ami 8 / Ami Super
The Dyane/Acadiane kits will be priced at £10 and the Ami 8 Super kits at £15. This is due to the additional sponge gasket at the back of the box against the bulkhead on the Ami.
Full fitting instructions, including pictures are included, and we are also going to produce the instructions in French if required also.
We will have 10 sets of each ready for Easter and will be bringing these to the Cambridge Legless Frogs Easter Camp. I will be submitting pics of the complete kits nearer the time.

Do you have issues then? Also, if i do a run of heat exchanger flap felts, is there any interest? I made up some for My Ami 8 and these help seal the heater flaps, helping stop hot air into the car during the summer and quieten down the rattles.

Is this the foam inside the rotating vent, which, once perished, means it blows cold air constantly?

Is this the foam inside the rotating vent, which, once perished, means it blows cold air constantly? Yes that is correct. The Dash mounted rotating vents at each end of the dash. These vents are fitted to Dyane, Acadiane, Ami 8, Ami Super.
