Just finished (browsing through the pictures) the article... the homemade sand casting and milling is incredible... what did he do to join the exhaust together? Dare I say brazing?

I dont get why, why did he spend so long making a tiny engine, when he could, with his skills have built a really really good real one, I mean great skill time and effort well done, but why?

I guess for the same reason people do a lot of things they don't actually *need* to do, maybe he just gets pleasure from it?
