aah see ive never had a post 80 Dyane or a pre 80 2cv well i did once but didn't know what it was. ;)

as for Acadiane.....hmm lets see high(er) compression engine running lean and pushing a hell of a lot of air out the way and the possibility of a 400kg payload what could possibly go wrong :lol:

Would slightly de-tuning the engine lower the point at which max torque is achieved? This would be clearly better for a vehicle carrying heavier payloads and not going to run any land speed records....

Could it be something as simple as expecting delivery drivers to rag the tits of the things whilst neglecting the maintenance, the lower compression would provide a bit more scope for things to go awry with timing wandering.

went to re jet and replace the insulation block under the carb on local D*lly and had a poke about on his other project.....
one of these an impressive beast

'S ok Ive got a trick for that ;)

its the rear diff and the paired chain?>edit< not chain but phosphor bronze idler gears, axles that are most interesting oh and the 6 cyl in line engine thats a pair of 3 cylinder engines together. everything is just massive
