Agreed with Sean! ^^^^^ James get yourself a brand new Electronic Voltage regulator, no more fiddling with gaps etc just plug it in and off you go with perfect charging every time! they only cost around £20

I had a battery boiling solid state hence why I hate them atleast a mehanical one you can try to adjust.
